What are the steps for Custom Engraving?

Step One:

Send us the ORIGINAL of what you wish to have engraved. (For example, send us the original wedding invitation or diploma. If you have specific artwork or logos to be added, we need camera-ready copy and/or readable digital images.) We will return your original to you with the engraved item.

You need to specify: SIZE (For example, a typical engraved marble wedding invitation is approximately 7 x 9 x 3/8 inches and backed with felt. Prices start at $100.00, depending upon complexity of shape, size, type, and thickness of marble and engraving.) 

You need to specify: TYPE AND/OR COLOR OF MARBLE OR GRANITE  (Danby White, Pink, Black Granite, Vermont Verde Antique, and so forth)

You need to specify: FONT TYPE, COLOR AND SIZE  (For example, the wedding invitation on the left has gold lettering, however, the engraving was done with black to contrast with the light color marble. In general, gold lettering looks best on the darker stones.)

You need to specify: BORDER, IF ANY  (For example, the wedding invitation on the left has an embossed double line as a border. We can not recreate embossing, however, we can add double lines or a decorative border.)

Step Two:

We will give you a price quote and time frame completing for your particular project. We need payment in full before creating your custom job. Please allow at least two weeks for the item to be engraved after finalizing the above details. If this is a large corporate order, requiring multiple copies or items, we will give you a time estimate of when to expect delivery.

Step THREE:

The above wedding invitation was engraved using an off-white marble with black lettering and a decorative border. Felt was applied to the back of the marble or granite and a small stand was included with the invitation.
