Holidays at Hildene

 

 

November 24th, 25th, and 26th and  December 27 and 28th

Take a  Holiday Self-Guided Tour of Robert Todd Lincoln's Hildene in Manchester, VT. The house is dressed in all its traditional holiday decorations. Cider, carolers and a bonfire on the front lawn. Hours are from 5 to 8 pm. Admission fees are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for children ages 6 through 14. Children under 6 are free of charge. Reservations are not necessary. Park at the main house.

All Aboard the Santa Express!

The Santa Express

December 9 and 10, 2006

All Aboard the Santa Express for an enchanting holiday treat. You and your family will depart from Bellows Falls, Vermont. Trips are scheduled for 10:30 am and 2:00 pm departures. Rates are $20.00 for adults, $16.00 for children 3 to 12 years, and $4.00 for children under 3 years. Reservations required to insure that every child receives a gift from Santa.

Coolidge Christmas Open House

 
December 9 -- 10:00 am - 4:00 pm - Enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas in one of Vermont’s most charming villages.  Visit the Coolidge Birthplace, traditionally decorated for the season, and winter exhibits at the Aldrich House, Plymouth Cheese Factory, and 1924 Summer White House office.  Old-time music, craft demonstrations, wagon/sleigh rides, special cancellation at the historic Plymouth post office, and children's activities.

Special Holiday Events at Billings Farm

November 24 - 26 Thanksgiving Weekend 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Visit with costumed guides as they prepare a bountiful 19th century Thanksgiving meal in the 1890 Farm House. Engaging Thanksgiving activities for every age and programs in the Farm House parlor each day. Enjoy a homemade treat and a horse-drawn wagon ride.

Decorate the tree with hand-made ornamentsDecember 8, 9 & 10 Wassail Weekend 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Make a historic Christmas ornament and tour the 1890 Farm House - authentically decorated for the season.

Trimming the TreeWeekends & December 26 - January 1 Christmas at the Farm 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - A Top Winter Event! Visit the authentically decorated farmhouse with preparations underway for the holiday meal; visit the dairy farm. Holiday programs and activities, plus making historic ornaments.
