Plain Vert from Vermont

San Francisco born Robert Frost was partial
to northern New England. Over half his life span was lived in or near Vermont. When asked
jokingly whether he was an introvert or an extrovert, he identified himself as a
"plain vert from Vermont". This devotion was returned on July 5, 1961 when the
Vermont Legislature by joint resolution cited Mr. Frost as Poet Laureate of Vermont.
